Jeriva Traylor is the Chair of the CORE Council and has served in a variety of other service capacities since she became a member of HeartSpace’s founding group. She has deep love for this community and a vision for an inclusive spiritual community that empowers and uplifts each person. She says HeartSpace is her home and family. Jeriva is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works as a clinical educator for a managed care organization. She is also a Licensed Child Placing Agency Administrator and Director for a domestic adoption program. She believes one of the reasons she was put on earth is to advocate for and empower the disenfranchised and disadvantaged. She has a strong belief in the power of the human spirit and the power of people to do anything they can dream about and are passionate about. Sometimes we all need the spark to be a catalyst to bring about change in our lives. Jeriva has volunteered in other spiritual communities and a variety of grassroots political organizations and volunteer leadership roles. She is a Dallas native, and a University of Texas graduate with a graduate degree from Texas Woman’s University. She is an avid traveler who loves a good music festival and hanging out with the people she loves.
