Beginning November 16 and continuing through December, we’ll be exploring the experiments in the book E-Squared: Nine Do-It-Yourself Energy Experiments That Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality. Come to any or all of the Thursdays (excluding Thanksgiving!). The book is not necessary, but feel free to purchase it if you want to. Here’s the Amazon link.
Awaken is the HeartSpace Spiritual Center midweek gathering, and it’s designed to meet the needs of both spiritual explorers and HeartSpace Sunday attenders. The two-hour block of time is divided, so folks (you!) can attend either or both hours, depending on what you’re looking for. Here’s how things break down…
Connection is an opportunity for folks to check in from an authentic place and share what’s alive in them. It also gives each person a chance to find out who they’re in the room with as others do the same. Compassion is a short block of time set aside to support anyone who is struggling with life or growth or grief or whatever. So much good comes from simply being seen and heard, so no fixing or crosstalk — just compassionate presence. Communion is spiritual practice. This changes month to month as we experiment with the practices of different spiritual traditions. So, for example, we might meditate one month, chant another, and do contemplative prayer the next.
Challenge & change are about learning something new, talking about what we’re learning, and then doing some experiential process to compliment the learning. Fundamental to the philosophy of New Thought is the belief that as we learn more about ourselves and the world, both we and the world change. In other words, new ideas and new beliefs produce a new experience of living. Topics for a series, typically 4-6 weeks, will focus on some aspect of personal and spiritual growth. We strongly encourage committing to be there for the whole series, but fear not!, we design the series in such a way that each week will be free-standing. Series topics may come from books, TED talks, world events, social justice issues, or basically anything else that contributes to a world that works for everyone AND a life that works for each.
