Join us at Chris and Michael’s home in Richardson (map) this month for UnSunday. As always, we’ll have mimosas and coffee at 10:45 and begin the conversation at 11 am. See you for the same UnSunday format at a different location!
A Sangha/Prayer Circle is a sacred community sharing our spiritual journey by personal sharing, prayer requests and praying together. The meeting will be one to two hours once a month. Our first meeting will be at 7 pm on Friday, February 14 at Kathryn Cates’s home in far north Dallas. Future details will be discussed and decided at the first meeting. Please email Kathryn for location and more information.
Join us at 11 am on Sunday, December 29 for our 5th Sunday Adventure that takes us to a house Holiday Party, complete with potluck, optional gift exchange, and a Burning Bowl Ceremony. Instead of a service at our regular place, we’ll be celebrating the holidays in James and Celia’s home! Sign up sheets are on the front desk to let us know how many are coming and what dish you’re bringing for the potluck. The Burning Bowl Ceremony is one of our favorite annual rituals as we bless and release circumstances and emotions that don’t serve us anymore and set our intentions for the brand new year. See you at the party!
We will not be having a Christmas Eve service, however, CSL Dallas is having a Family Service at 5 pm and a Candlelight Service at 6:30. Merry Christmas!
This year for our holiday service project, our community has adopted a mother and her three children (ages 11, 11 and 5) at The Family Place. We’ve written each wish list item on a card for you to choose one, or several items to give. Pick up cards on Sunday or if you’re not going to be there but want to help, email firstname.lastname@example.org, and we’ll let you know what’s on the list. They are also accepting Fiesta and other gift cards. Please bring your unwrapped items back by December 15.
The holidays are a beautiful time of family, friends and gifts. Except when they’re not. Loss, illness and absence can create a painful experience, especially in contrast to the joy of the season. Blue Christmas is our most requested and highest attended ritual of the year. If you are a person who struggles with the holidays, please come. If you are a person who loves the holidays, please come hold space for those who don’t feel their own light or the light of the season. Join us Sunday, Dec. 8 at 10:45 am to start with mimosas and coffee, and then, at 11:00, we’ll begin this unique UnSunday experience.
Join us for our Holiday celebrations, including the Holiday Concert at 7:30 pm on Sat. Nov. 30 (Thanksgiving weekend), Blue Christmas on UnSunday at 11 am on Dec. 8, A Candlelight Service at 7 pm on Tues. Dec. 24, and our Burning Bowl Year End Party that is our 5th Sunday Adventure at 11 am on Sun. Dec. 29.
Join us for a Holiday Concert with our band and many of our soloists as we celebrate the holidays and give back to our band, who so richly give to us every single week. All love offerings will go to our musicians.
On this month’s UnSunday, we’ll experience flowing and falling into good. The truth will set us free, but first it might make us mad. Life is hard sometimes but we often make it harder and make our good hard to access. Why why why must we struggle so, and what can be done to release the habit of struggle? In the words of Ralph Marston, “There are plenty of difficult obstacles in your path. Don’t allow yourself to become one of them.” Come participate in a process designed to open your heart and mind to a new way of being — flow. We’ll have mimosas and coffee starting at 10:45 am and then at 11, we’ll begin a whole new way to experience HeartSpace with UnSunday.
