Candace Stowers

Music Ministry

Candace Lorraine Stowers is in our music ministry at HeartSpace. She is from Los Angeles, California where, as a child, her talent became apparent through playing the accordion, violin, flute and piano. She also discovered her love for theater and pursued a career in acting. Candace found her vocal gift in high school and joined the John Burroughs Show Choir (the choir on which the hit TV series “Glee” is based). There she honed her vocal and performance skills for a life of music.

She has performed with: Grammy Award winning vocalist and songwriter Kenny Loggins, Tony Award winner Ben Vereen, Golden Globe nominee Carl Anderson, New Thought music pioneer Rickie Byars-Beckwith and a host of other talented performers, including Pete Peterkin, Terry Bradford, Brenda Lee Eager, Niki Harris and Shelley Carrol.

Candace has been involved in New Thought music for most of her life. She was a member of the original vision group for the Agape International Center of Truth in Culver City, California. For 10 years, she worked for Rev. Michael Beckwith and was a founding member of the Agape International Choir. Candace also served as Music Director for Higher Ground Center of Truth in Arlington and Assistant Music Director at the Center for Spiritual Living Dallas.

Candace is making her own mark performing locally in the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex, and has done so for the past ten years. She is a featured vocalist in Cuvée, an award winning party band in North Texas, www.cuveemusic.com. Cuvee’s popularity has earned them routine engagements at Winstar Casino in Oklahoma, Lonestar Park, and Dallas Arboretum’s “Concerts in the Park”.

In the music ministry at HeartSpace Spiritual Center, Candace’s desire is to reveal the power of unconditional love through music.
